Are you an experienced SEND Professional looking for your next challenge? Our client is looking for a skilled practitioner to join its service, on a temporary basis.

Position: SEND Education Support Assistant
Location: London
Pay rate: £22.78 Umbrella per hour

Purpose:
To support young people with SEND to develop their independence, confidence and life skills, helping them work towards their Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) outcomes.

Job responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group support through activities in centre-based and community settings.
• Support young people with learning disabilities, autism, sensory needs and physical disabilities.
• Help develop communication, English and Maths skills, independence and community inclusion.
• Provide emotional, behavioural and practical support, including personal care where required.

Essential requirements:

• Experience supporting individuals with complex needs and behaviours of concern.
• Understanding of positive behaviour support (PBS).
• Comfortable providing personal care and manual handling.
• Good communication skills and an understanding of safeguarding.
