Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy Local Authority in East London, are looking for an experienced Principal Planning Policy Officer to join their team and play a crucial role within their Policy Operations

Role: Principal Planning Policy Officer
Pay: £34.98 ph Umbrella 
Working Arrangement: Hybrid
Contract Length: 6 months rolling
Location: East London

Responsibilities: 

• Leading in all aspects of statutory and non-statutory plan-making and implementation, providing professional expertise, technical advice and guidance to positively shape development and promoting continuous innovation in the way planning policy is developed and implemented.
• Lead the preparation, implementation, review and monitoring of major areas of policy in the Local Plan
• Lead the preparation of evidence, including presenting evidence at Examinations in Public, Public Inquiries, Hearings and in writing.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working for a Local Authority or similar organisation.
• Experience working in a Principal Planning Policy Officer or similar role
