Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a Client based in Newbury, are looking for an experienced Complaints Officer to join their team and play a crucial role within their Education & SEND service.

Position: Complaints Officer
Rate: £35 per hour (Umbrella) 
Contract Duration: Temp (Jan 2027) Possible Extension  
Working Arrangement: Hybrid (40% in the office) 

Purpose:

• To work as a member of the complaints and access to records team; providing comprehensive admin support. To support the service to respond effectively to all complaints ensuring that responses are both accurate and timely.

Job Responsibilities:

• To act as the first point of contact for customers making a complaint or Subject Access to Records (SAR) request.
• To provide robust support in keeping up to date records of Subject Access to Records and complaints.
• Arrange meetings when complex multi team complaints are received.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation - Essential. 
• Understanding the Complaints processes used within Children and
  Education and statutory guidance.
• Knowledge of either the social care or special educational needs sectors. 
• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
