Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a Local Authority, are looking for an experienced Highway Inspector to join their team and play a crucial role in their Housing operations. 

Position: Highway Inspector
Salary: £35.48 per hour Umbrella 
Contract Duration: 6 Month Contract(possible extension)
Working Arrangement: Hybrid

Purpose:

• To undertake statutory and risk based highway safety inspections and associated activities to ensure the highway network remains safe, serviceable, and compliant with relevant legislation. The role also provides a proactive customer engagement function, acting as a key interface between the service, stakeholders, and the public.

Job Responsibilities:

• Undertake planned, cyclical, and ad hoc road safety inspections of the highway network, including carriageways, footways, and associated assets. 
• Identify, risk assess, and categorise defects in accordance with policy and national codes of practice.
• Maintain accurate inspection records to support statutory defence (Section 58 and liability claims). 

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
• Experience working in a Highway Inspector or similar role
