Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client are looking for an experienced Service Manager to lead their Assessment Service within Children's Social Care.

Position: Interim Service Manager – Assessment Service
Rate: £450 per day
Contract Duration: 3 Months
Hours: 36 hours per week
Working Pattern: Hybrid – regular office attendance required in line with service needs

Purpose:
Providing operational leadership within the Assessment Service, overseeing frontline safeguarding teams responsible for Child and Family Assessments, Section 47 enquiries and statutory interventions.

Job Responsibilities:

• Leading frontline assessment teams and overseeing day-to-day service delivery.
• Managing performance, quality assurance and statutory safeguarding practice.
• Overseeing referrals, assessments and safeguarding interventions.
• Working closely with MASH partners on referrals, threshold decisions, information sharing and safeguarding processes.

Job Requirements:

• Qualified Social Worker with current registration with Social Work England.
• Extensive senior management experience within Children's Social Care and safeguarding.
• Experience leading frontline assessment teams, including performance management and quality assurance.
• Significant MASH experience, with a strong understanding of referral pathways, threshold decision-making and multi-agency working.
