Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy Local Authority in Essex, are looking for an experienced Governance Officer to join their team and play a crucial role within their Governance Operations

Position: Governance Officer
Rate: £24.14 p/h Umbrella
Contract Duration: 3 months with Possible Extension
Working Arrangement: Hybrid
Job Duties: 

• Develop and maintain an understanding of local government democratic processes, with support and direction from senior officers.
• Provide administrative support for the Executive, committees, sub-committees, Partnerships and officer or councillor groups.
• Arrange and clerk meetings, prepare agendas, reports and minutes, and ensure decisions and actions are accurately recorded and communicated in line with the Constitution.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working as a Governance Officer or similar role
• Previous experience working for a Local Authority or similar organisation.
