Tempting Recruitment are working alongside our client, a Law firm, who are looking to recruit an experienced Litigation lawyer to join their team based in the Basildon area.

JOB ROLE
The successful candidate will undertake litigation work on behalf of clients, providing a broad quality service as part of the practice.


JOB DESCRIPTION
The duties and responsibilities of the role will include:

• Reviewing contracts, Land Registry documents, and lease agreements to evaluate legal standing.
• Drafting formal legal pleadings, preparing witness statements, and working with barristers for court hearings.
• Negotiating settlements or organizing mediation to resolve conflicts without a trial.
• Providing strategic risk assessments for corporate portfolios, developers, and private landowners.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE
The successful candidate will have the following skills and competencies:

• Must be a qualified solicitor with litigation experience. 
• Experience in property disputes
• Strong organisation skills 
• Using relevant technological systems
