Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client are looking for a Leaving Care Advisor to join their Corporate Parenting and Permanence team.

Position: Leaving Care Advisor
Rate: £23.28 per hour (PAYE)
Contract Duration: 6 Months
Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday-Friday

Purpose:
Supporting care leavers aged 18+ as they transition into adulthood, helping them access education, employment, training, accommodation and develop the skills needed for independent living.

Job Responsibilities:

• Managing a caseload of care leavers, including Unaccompanied Asylum Seekers.
• Supporting young people with education, employment, training and accommodation.
• Providing guidance around independent living and life skills.
• Working with partner agencies to support vulnerable young people and advocate for their needs.

Job Requirements:

• Direct experience of working with young people and supporting vulnerable individuals.
• Knowledge of the Children Act 1989 and Leaving Care Act 2000.
• Compassionate approach when supporting young people affected by trauma, loss or separation.
• Ability to adapt to change and work effectively as part of a team and across different services.
