Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a public sector client in Southampton, are looking for an experienced Responding Support Officer to join their team and play a crucial role in their housing need and support operations.     

Position: Responding Support Officer (Telecare)
Rate: £18.85 per hour (Inside IR35)
Contract Duration: Temporary (Nov 2026) Possible Extension 
Working Arrangement: Fully Onsite 

Purpose:

• To respond to emergencies primarily to elderly and vulnerable tenants either within the city’s Supported Housing or general needs stock and for Careline and Connected Care customers in private stock.

Job Responsibilities: 

• To provide assistance and support to individuals following a report of an emergency, to attend on site when requested to assess the care, medical or support needs of individual customers as required.
• Assist individuals to complete various forms in connection with benefits and/or accommodation moves. Assist individuals with organising their personal affairs, such as paying bills and correspondence.
• To listen, understand and help deal with the problems arising from an emergency and anxieties sensitively, yet effectively. 

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
• Good general standard of education. 
• Valid Full Driving Licence. 
• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
