Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy Local Authority in South East England, are looking for an experienced Specialist Payroll Officer to join their team and play a crucial role in their HR Operations.   

Position: Specialist Payroll Officer
Rate: £35 Hourly rate (Umbrella)
Contract Duration: 6 Months
Work arrangement: Hybrid


Job Responsibilities: 

• To utilise specialist knowledge to address complex payroll scenarios and contribute to the overall efficiency of the payroll function.
• Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to resolve complex payroll issues and provide expert guidance.
• Perform audits and reconciliations to verify accuracy and compliance with payroll processes.

Job Requirements:

• At least 2 year experience within a Specialist Payroll Officer or equivalent.
• Experience of working within a local authority, housing association or voluntary organisation
• Professional business qualification to NVQ Level 4
