.Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy local authority in West of Essex, are looking for an experienced Governance Administrator to join their team and play a crucial role in their governance operations. 

Position: Governance Administrator
Rate: £170 per day (Umbrella)
Contract Duration: Temp (Aug 2027) Possible Extension
Working Arrangement: Hybrid 

Job Purpose:

• This is a varied and busy role where you will be responsible for supporting day-to-day administrative activities, coordinating meetings, managing documentation, and ensuring records and governance processes are maintained efficiently. 

Job Responsibilities:

• Organising and scheduling meetings, including booking rooms and coordinating attendees.
• Managing calendars and arranging appointments.
• Taking accurate minutes during meetings and distributing actions as required.
• Preparing, formatting, and proofreading reports, correspondence, and other documentation.
• Maintaining electronic and paper filing systems.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
• Experienced in an administrative or business support role.
• Confident taking meeting minutes and producing professional documentation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
