Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy Local Authority in West London, are looking for an experienced Trading Standards Officer to join their team and play a crucial role in their Trading Operations.   

Position: Trading Standards Officer
Rate: £52 per hour (Umbrella)
Contract Duration: 8 Months
Work arrangement: Hybrid


Job Responsibilities: 

• To contribute positively to the Trading Standards Service's action plan, and to work within the overall vision, values, aims and objectives
• The collection of all necessary evidence for potential legal proceedings including witness statements, conducting inspections using powers available and conducting PACE interviews
• The post holder will be authorised to make regulatory decisions on a range of enforcement actions available to them. These will be commensurate with their level of competency and overseen by the Trading Standards and PoCA Manager as appropriate.

Job Requirements:

• Experience of obtaining Justices' warrants, RIPA authorisations and similar legal processes
• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
• At least 1 year experience within a Trading Standards Officer role or equivalent.
• Enhanced DBS + Driving License + Vehicle Access
