Tempting Recruitment are working alongside our client, a Insurance provider, who are looking to recruit an experienced P/C Senior Actuary to join their team based in Bloomington, IL.
  
JOB DETAILS

• PAY RATE: $110,000 - $150,000 Per Annum
• WORK TYPE: Permanent 
• WORK PATTERN: Full Time
• LOCATION: Bloomington, IL

JOB DESCRIPTION
The duties and responsibilities of the role will include:

• Investigates and evaluates a variety of data in order to generate proposals for rate adjustments, reserve estimates, or economic capital models; provide actuarial support for filings with state insurance departments; and/or implement new rates and rating plans using current processes, suggesting modifications when necessary.
• Evaluates data in order to create and suggest actuarial or product line management solutions.
• Aims to become a member of the Casualty Actuarial Society, at least at the Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society (ACAS) level.
• Keeps up the necessary continuing education credits in order to keep their actuarial certification.
• Investigates and evaluates data for unique initiatives with a predetermined scope.
• Acts as the project committees' designated Property/Casualty Actuarial representative.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE
The successful candidate will have the following skills and competencies:

• You will be pursuing the requirements for your FCAS credential after completing the coursework necessary to earn your ACAS certificate.
• Experience with property and casualties is necessary.
• Although candidates with additional property casualty experience will be taken into consideration, those with past auto and home pricing experience will be given preference.
• Five or more years of relevant experience, or a mix of training, education, and experience.
