Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy Local Authority in West Sussex, are looking for an experienced Building Surveyor to join their team and play a crucial role within their voids maintenance operations.       

Position: Building Surveyor
Rate: £30-35 per hour (Umbrella, Outside IR35) 
Contract Duration: Temporary (3 Months) with Possible Extension  

Job Responsibilities: 

• To provide an effective & responsive service to residents relating to repairs and maintenance requirements including defect diagnosis, various inspection and approval regimes, including damp and structural inspections, contractor and works supervision and health and safety to determine the best options and resources available on a case by case basis.
• To provide an effective service relating to void properties ensuring lettable standard is achieved and turnaround times achieve the corporate target and minimise rental losses to the Council including works supervision and health and safety to determine the best options and resources available on a case by case basis.
• To be responsible for the monitoring and management of performance within the area of responsibility, ensuring that internal and external standards are met and improved upon with the aim of achieving high resident satisfaction

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
• At least 1 year experience within a Building Surveyor role or equivalent.
• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
