Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy Local Authority in East London, are looking for an experienced Head of Leasehold Services to join their team and play a crucial role within their leasehold operations.       

Position: Head of Leasehold Services
Rate: £500 per day (Umbrella, Outside IR35)
Contract Duration: Temporary (3 Months) with Possible Extension  
Working Arrangement: 2 days per week in the office

Job Purpose: 

• Seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Leaseholders to lead and transform leaseholder services across the borough. This role will drive operational excellence, improve transparency, and ensure compliance with statutory obligations, particularly in relation to service charges, major works, and resident engagement.

Job Responsibilities: 

• Lead the end-to-end leaseholder service, including billing, consultation, dispute resolution, and communications, section 20 processes for major works, ensuring legal compliance and effective stakeholder management, ultimately creating a single leasehold team in the borough.
• Collaborate with finance, legal, asset management, and housing teams to ensure joined-up delivery.
• Provide expert advice on leaseholder legislation, rights, and obligations.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
• At least 1 year experience within a Head of Leasehold Services role or equivalent.
• Understanding of leasehold legislation, service charge frameworks, and Section 20 consultation.
• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
