Job Role: Infrastructure Engineer
Temporary or Permanent: Temp
Possible End Date: Until January 2026 possible extension
Location: Harrow
Driving Licence Required: Yes
Vehicle Access Required: Yes
Rate of Pay: Pay Negotiable
Office Based/Hybrid: Required to attend Harrow a minimum of 2 days per week
Short Brief/Requirement:
Identify, develop and implement schemes, works and projects in relation to the maintenance and/or development of the Council’s infrastructure, evaluating proposals for prioritisation within the overall programme of works and producing designs and specifications for implementation


Key Responsibilities:

• Produce build quality drawings and specifications for approved projects for handover to Contract Management for delivery purposes.
• Conduct surveys, inspections, investigations or site visits following the necessary procedures and proposing and implementing necessary remedial action
• Manage the consultative and quality assurance processes with relevant stakeholders throughout all stages of the project life cycle
• Liaise with key stakeholders and carry out consultation exercises for complex projects and schemes to ensure the production of fit for purpose design specifications
• Act as project team member for any project or when required act as project manager for projects of moderate degree of difficulty, preparing design documentation legal briefs

Job Requirements:

• Have a minimum of two years’ relevant experience as a Infrastructure Engineer or equivalent.
• Need to have a good level of experience in CPZ development and design, public engagement
• Experience with CAD but not specifically a CAD technician
• Worked in a Council setting previously – has sound understanding of the political environment
• Development control experience
