Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy Local Authority in West Essex, are looking for an experienced Gas Engineer to join their team and play a crucial role in their surveying operations.       

Position: Mechanical Engineer (Gas)
Rate: £350 per day (Umbrella, Outside IR35)
Contract Duration: Temporary (6-12 Months) with Possible Extension  
Working Arrangement: Office/On-Site

Purpose:

A well-organised individual who can plan and manage their time effectively, and who takes pride in delivering excellent service. You’ll need to bring strong technical and practical experience, along with sound knowledge of Gas, Heating, and Water legislation.

Job Responsibilities: 

• Develop, maintain and contribute to the improved culture of planned and preventative maintenance (PPM).
• Carry out surveys of mechanical installations and heating and hot water systems.
• Evaluate risk assessments on the condition, lifecycle and expiry of mechanical installations.
• Day-to-day oversight of the mechanical installation’s PPM and refurbishment programmes.
• Review, update and maintain real-time data for compliance monitoring of the Client’s assets.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
• At least 1 year experience within a Notice Processing Officer role or equivalent.
• Current Gas and level 3 plumbing qualifications.
• Current Gas Safe registration with domestic ACS qualifications
• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
