Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy Local Authority in Northwest England, are looking for an experienced Senior Auditor to join their team and play a crucial role within their auditing operations.       

Position: Senior Auditor
Rate: Negotiable (Umbrella, Outside IR35)
Contract Duration: Temporary (March 2026) with Possible Extension  
Working Arrangement: Hybrid (2 Days in the Office) 

Purpose:

• To deliver an efficient and effective provision of a comprehensive internal audit service covering a full range of functions across the authority, including complex, cross-cutting pieces of work.
• To provide professional advice to senior stakeholders as part of internal audit’s advisory function.
• To provide advice, counsel and recommendations on the effective management of the council’s strategic and higher risk activities.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
• At least 1 year experience within a Senior Auditor role or equivalent.
• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
