Job Role: Business Analyst (Managing our Debt)
Temporary or Permanent: Temp
Possible End Date: Until March 2026 (Possible Extension)
Rate of Pay: £450 a day umbrella inside IR35
Location: Bristol
Office Based/Hybrid: Flexible – Happy to do remote with occasional office visits
Short Brief/Requirement:
We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to support a council-wide programme looking to maximise income and reduce debt within the authority. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the Project Manager and subject matter experts from the service areas concerned to achieve the Project’s goals.
• Identify and undertake all necessary business analysis tasks including gaining a solid understanding of current processes and pain points, user needs analysis and requirements elicitation, developing ‘to be’ processes.
• Document and communicate your findings and ideas to the project team, service, and other stakeholders.
• Work on your own initiative and as part of a team.
• Shaping and evaluating options as part of business case development.
• Researching how comparable authorities/companies deliver similar services.

Job Requirements:

• Have a minimum of two years’ relevant experience as a Business Analyst or equivalent.
• Must have good domain knowledge of Local Authority functions and processes
• Must have excellent attention to detail as well as knowledge and experience of financial data
• Must have excellent stakeholder engagement skills, professionalism and resilience
