Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy local authority in East London, are looking for an experienced Assistant Right to Buy Officer to join their team and play a crucial role in their operations.       

Position: Assistant Right to Buy Officer
Rate: Negotiable (Umbrella, Outside IR35)
Contract Duration: Temporary (6 Months) with Possible Extension  
Working Arrangement: Hybrid

Purpose:

• The Right to Buy team undertakes a range of functions relating to all aspects of the sale of Council property.

Job Responsibilities: 

• The post holder will have contact with members of the public, external agencies, as well as staff in Corporate Property, Landlord Services, Fraud Investigations team, Legal and other sections.
• Assist with the development of all procedures relating to the processing of applications for Right to Buy applications as required by the Housing Act 1985.
• Assist the Right to Buy Leasehold Officers with the preparation of all work applicable to the sale of Council houses including, registration of Right to Buy applications, checking them for completeness, accuracy and compliance with relevant legislation for manager authorisation.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
• At least 1 year experience within a Assistant Right to Buy Officer role or equivalent.
• An understanding of Part V of the 1985 Housing Act.
• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
