Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy Local Authority in East London, are looking for an experienced Young Carers Project Manager to join their team and play a crucial role in their improvement & Change operations.       

Position: Young Carers Project Manager
Rate: Negotiable (Umbrella, Outside IR35)
Contract Duration: Temporary (3 Months) with Possible Extension  

Purpose:

• As a Project Manager you will be an expert lead for a wide-ranging series of activity across Children and Young People’s Services, including Education, Social Care, Commissioning and Safeguarding.

Job Responsibilities: 

• To lead projects and initiatives to transform and improve the operating model within the Children and Young People Directorate.
• To ensure that the transformation and improvement agenda is delivered successfully using recognised and proportionate methodology, ensuring that there is consistency with the organisation.
• Support and deliver on the development and monitoring of an effective strategic governance and decision-making framework for informing and critically challenging performance around the overall change and improvement portfolio, to ensure a continuous drive to achieving maximum value and promote innovation.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
• At least 1 year experience within a Young Carers Project Manager role or equivalent.
• Evidence of relevant continuous professional development such as APM, LEAN, Prince 2, MSP.
• A clear understanding of the variety of services delivered to children and young people.
• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
