Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy local authority in Wandsworth. Are looking for a Senior Engineer to join their organisation.

Job Role: Senior Engineer
Temporary or Permanent: Temp
Possible End Date: 3 months (Possible Extension)
Location: Wandsworth
Office Based/Hybrid: TBC
Rate of Pay: £29.78 p/h umbrella
Pay Negotiable: TBC
Short Brief/Requirement:
Conduct initial desktop surveys and out site visits at various locations to review current restrictions at junctions with a view to designating double yellow lines (DYL).

Prepare detailed design drawings in AutoCAD for each site on A3/A4 size for advertisement of Traffic Management Orders.

Assist in the preparation of Traffic Management Orders to progress the DYL measures to the point of implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

• You will need to demonstrate appropriate theoretical and practical methods to the analysis and solution of engineering problems.
• You will support Principal Engineers on relevant service and operational matters.  
• you will need to demonstrate effective project implementation, namely plan, budget, organise direct and control of tasks, people and resources.
• You will be required to use your programme and contract management skills to demonstrate excellent budgetary and financial management.

Job Requirements:

• Have a minimum of two years’ relevant experience as a Senior Engineer or equivalent.
• Sound theoretical and practical highway / traffic engineering application demonstrated via a professional qualification or equivalent or working towards such qualification.
• Knowledge-working knowledge of highways, street works, and any other relevant legislations such as health and safety requirements.  
• Proven experience- in delivering highway projects.  
• Commercially astute
• IT Skills-Good IT skills, which will include the use of AutoCAD and Microsoft packages.
