Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy Local Authority in West London, are looking for an experienced Procurement and Resettlement Officer to join their team and play a crucial role in their housing management operations.       

Position: AFEO Procurement and Resettlement Officer
Rate: £28.36 per hour (Umbrella, Outside IR35)
Contract Duration: Temporary (3 Months) with Possible Extension  
Working Arrangement: 2 days in the office

Purpose:

• The role is based in Housing Solutions and will deliver a bespoke procurement and hand-holding resettlement service, ensuring that ex-offenders’ placements into private rented accommodation is suitable, affordable and co-ordinated across all partner agencies.

Job Responsibilities: 

• Procure suitable and affordable private rented accommodation for ex-offenders referred into the AfEO project by brokering new accommodation and working closely with existing accommodation providers such as the in-house Procurement Team, Capital Letters, West London OOL Project, and others.
• Provide a bespoke hand-holding resettlement and tenancy sustainment service to ensure that the ex-offenders’ placement into accommodation in the private rented sector is co-ordinated across all partner agencies, ensuring support needs are met to support a long-sustained tenancy.
• Carry out an assessment of needs including affordability, suitability, and support needs to negotiate rent, incentives, and tenancy terms with private landlords on behalf of people referred to the AfEO project and follow internal processes for effective move-on into affordable privately rented accommodation in and out of the Borough.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
• At least 1 year experience within a Procurement and Resettlement Officer role or equivalent.
• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
