Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy Local Authority in Southeast London, are looking for an experienced Lettings Officer to join their team and play a crucial role in their allocations and temporary accommodation operations.       

Position: Lettings Officer
Rate: £20.96 per hour (Umbrella, Outside IR35)
Contract Duration: Temporary (March 2026) with Possible Extension  

Purpose:

• Responsible to the Senior Lettings Officer for the day to day operations in respect of the Choice Based Lettings System, nominations to Housing Associations, Mutual Exchanges and Special Schemes as required.

Job Responsibilities: 

• To be responsible for the efficient and sensitive letting and pre letting of both Council and Housing Association properties.
• To deputise for the Senior Lettings Officer in their absence and supervise Lettings Assistants as appropriate.
• To preparing reports for consideration ant the Case Review Panel and administering and monitoring the appeals system.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
• At least 1 year experience within a Lettings Officer role or equivalent.
• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
