Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy Local Authority in Northwest London, are looking for an experienced Solicitor to join their team and play a crucial role in their highways & planning operations.    
 
Position: Solicitor - Highways and Planning
Rate: £50 per hour (Umbrella, Outside IR35)
Contract Duration: Temporary (December 2025) with Possible Extension  
Working Arrangement: Remote/Hybrid

Job Purpose: 

• To provide legal advice and have conduct of casework relating to highways, planning and environmental matters, and to provide support to the Principal and Senior Lawyers and where appropriate the Head of Legal and Democratic Services.

Job Responsibilities: 

• To have conduct of a caseload of both Highways and Planning matters including but not restricted to s38, s278, s106 Agreements, Public Rights of Way and other planning and enforcement and licence/consent matters.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
• At least 1 year experience within a • Qualified Solicitor or Barrister or CILEX role or equivalent.
• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
