Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy Local Authority in Southeast London, are looking for an experienced Electrician to join their team and play a crucial role in their maintenance operations.    
 
Position: Electrician
Salary: £44,430 per annum 
Contract Duration: Permanent

Job Purpose: 

• The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of electrical systems across all Responsive Repairs workstreams.

Job Responsibilities: 

• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems within Council-owned buildings.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults and issues.
• Installation of new electrical systems and equipment.
• Collaborate with contractors and internal teams to implement Provide rapid response to electrical emergencies and participate in on-call rotations as needed.
• Upgrades and improvements to existing electrical infrastructure.
• Work in a range of properties throughout the Borough, including occupied tenancies and offices and unoccupied buildings.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
• At least 1 year experience within a Home Buy Officer role or equivalent.
• City & Guilds Level 3 Certificate in Electrotechnical Technology (or equivalent)
• 18th Edition Certification.
• City & Guilds 2391.
• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
