Tempting Recruitment are working alongside our client, a local council, who are looking for a Finance Manager to join their Children and Education team in Bristol. 

Position: Finance Manager      
Rate: £57,884      
Location: Bristol (Remote with one office visit per month)     
Work Type: Permanent  

JOB DESCRIPTION
The duties and responsibilities of the role will include: 

• Provide finance support to large scale projects, preparing statutory returns and monitoring revenue funding.
• Assist in the production of forecasts and lead on reporting. 
• Work alongside stakeholders, budget managers and senior staff to support the aims of the council.
• Lead financial projects and drive savings through business transformation. 

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE
The successful candidate will have the following skills and competencies:

• CCAB qualification (or equivalent) with post qualification experience. 
• Background experience of controlling and planning the work of a diverse team of Finance staff. 
• Previous experience of dealing with stakeholders and resolving accountancy issues as well as ensuring resources are used to maximise service output. 
• Strong knowledge and experience of local government risk.
