Job Role: Business Support Officer (Legal Services)
Temporary or Permanent: Temp
Possible End Date: Until December 2025 (possible extension)
Number of Positions: 1 position
Location: Brent
Rate of Pay: £31.39 p/h umbrella


Key Responsibilities:

• The role operates within a framework set by Corporate and Departmental Management Teams, with the freedom to influence the shape of services. 
• Providing comprehensive and efficient business support for Legal Services, supporting members of the Service Management Team (SMT) and the Director of Law, managing the Legal Services Finance and Admin Officers, and assisting the Senior Management Team with financial planning and administration for Legal Services
• Effectively manage the Director of Law’s diary and phone calls, and handle agendas for SMT and other meetings within Legal Services, attending Senior Management Team meetings when required.
• Manage the Legal Services case management system and assist in collating, evaluating, and reporting on management information, including performance indicators, client ,feedback, and benchmarking exercises.
• Support effective working relationships and act as an ambassador and advocate with external organisation

Job Requirements:

• Have a minimum of two years’ relevant experience as a Business Support Officer (Legal Services) or equivalent.
• Someone who has some legal service practice management experiences, and are particularly familiar with Lexcel as that will be a significant project for a few months.
• Knowledge of issues facing an in-house legal service.
• Track record of working with legal officers at senior level within a
  busy legal department.
