Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy local authority in Huddersfield. Are looking for a Finance Manager to join their organisation.

Job Role: Finance Manager
Temporary or Permanent: Temp
Possible End Date: Until February 2026 (possible extension)
Number of Positions: 1 position available
Location: Huddersfield
DBS Required: Basic DBS required
Rate of Pay: £500 a day umbrella
Pay Negotiable: Possibly
Office Based/Hybrid: Hybrid
Short Brief/Requirement: Candidates must have substantial experience within social care, schools, or SEND in a local authority setting to be considered suitable.

Key Responsibilities:

• You will be responsible for providing a comprehensive, high quality, financial service including the management and supervision of staff.
• You will be a visible leader, manage resources effectively, and be passionate about making a difference.
• You will have management responsibility for a finance team, be a positive role model, and ensure commitment towards team goals and Service vision and priorities.
• You will look to create positive working relationships and be committed to developing your team and yourself.
• You will also support the Head of Service by being a member of the Finance Manager Group.
• Provision of a comprehensive, high quality and timely financial management service that is directed and controlled in accordance with statutory, financial and Council procedures.

Job Requirements:

• Have a minimum of two years’ relevant experience as a Finance Manager or equivalent.
• Member of a recognised CCAB professional accountancy body
• Experience in the application of resource and business planning
  within a local authority or similarly complex organisation
• Accepts a standard DBS check is required.
