Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy Local Authority in West London, are looking for an experienced Voids Maintenance Officer to join their team and play a crucial role in their housing management operations.       

Position: Voids Maintenance Officer
Rate: £26 per hour (Umbrella, Outside IR35)
Contract Duration: Temporary (December 2025) with Possible Extension  

Purpose:

• Responsible for carrying out all required lock changes and resolving utility meter queries for properties that are owned by the council and are to be rented under the council’s allocation scheme ensuring that void properties are let safely and efficiently whilst ensuring that performance targets are met and that value for money is achieved.

Job Responsibilities: 

• Responsible for the accurate recording and logging of utilities including gas and electricity meter information at the beginning and throughout the void process.
• Carry out tenancy ready checks after the void work has been completed.
• Carry out minor repairs as and when required whilst ensuring high standards and effective use of materials.
• Conduct first lock changes for all void properties, including the installation of key safes and key codes within the agreed KPI of 24hrs.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
• At least 1 year experience within a Voids Maintenance Officer role or equivalent.
• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
