Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy Local Authority in Southwest England, are looking for an experienced Health & Safety Coordinator to join their team and play a crucial role in their health & safety operations.       

Position: Health & Safety Coordinator
Rate: £28 per hour (Umbrella, Outside IR35)
Contract Duration: Temporary (December 2025) with Possible Extension  

Job Purpose: 
To provide professional advice, ensuring legal compliance, conducting risk assessments, and helping to implement health and safety management systems within local authority services.

Job Responsibilities: 

• Experience in a health and safety construction environment, and working knowledge of construction H&S Legislation including CDM Regulations 2015.
• Experience of undertaking audits and/or inspections of construction sites, contractors, and mobile workplaces (vehicles) to verify compliance with legislative requirements.
• Risk management methodology, calculation and reporting.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
• At least 1 year experience within a Health & Safety Coordinator role or equivalent.
• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
