Job Role: Electrical Trade Manager
Temporary or Permanent: Temp
Possible End Date: January 2026 (Possible Extension)
Rate of Pay: £35 p/h umbrella inside IR35
Location: Bristol
Office Based/Hybrid: TBC
Short Brief/Requirement: HNC or equivalent qualification in a construction or building related subject or management studies plus a further period of related experience OR equivalent knowledge and skill demonstrated from significant and relevant experience in a building, surveying or social housing environment with a focus on electrical installations.

Purpose:

• Maintain day-to-day line management and development of all staff and supervisors in the team and developing an effective on boarding plan to provide consistent continuity. 
• Manage and lead a team of staff in collaboration with colleagues and contractors providing repairs, maintenance and improvements to council owned dwellings, properties and land managed by Landlord Services

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for ensuring high quality works from internal trade teams and contractors, ensuring “right-first- time” and achieving high customer satisfaction whilst staying within budgetary targets and providing a cost effective, value for money service.
• Lead, plan and drive changes in the surveying team by monitoring progress to ensure delivery of continuous improvements, making short- or medium-term adjustments to business goals to address changing priorities and report and bring forward suggestions for improving, developing, and implementing changes.
• Manage external contractors and suppliers to ensure the completion and co-ordination of work and provision of services in order to optimise end-to-end outputs within a timely manner.
• Provide leadership and ensure that contractual commitments are met and exceeded through meetings and data sharing, ensuring targets, KPIs and SLA are all met.
• Ensure service delivery is in line with targets set by government including compliance with HHSRS standards, Social Housing (Regulation) Act 2023, Consumer Standards and relevant compliance legislation, including taking ownership on dealing with any complaints, FOIs and SARs set out in the Consumer Standards 

Job Requirements:

• At least 2 years experience within a Electrical Trade Manager role or equivalent.
• HNC or equivalent qualification in a construction or building related subject or management studies plus a further period of related experience
• Equivalent knowledge and skill demonstrated from significant and relevant experience in a building, surveying or social housing environment.
• Ability to converse with citizens and provide advice in accurate spoken English, so that information is clearly understood and acted upon by individuals or large groups (30+).
