Job Role: Centre Officer
Temporary or Permanent: Temp
Possible End Date: August 2025 (With view for extension)
Location: Castleford
Office Based/Hybrid: Office Based
Rate of Pay (Umbrella and Inside IR35): £17

Purpose:

• The main purpose of this post is to maintain the smooth and successful day to day operational running of the Centre, building a welcoming, busy and vibrant community space and providing services and activities to the centres users and the community in which it serves.
• The role will be involved in helping to shape new activities, events and establishing new partnerships as well as ensuring that the centre is well maintained and compliant with current legislation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the day to day operational management and maintenance to ensure the centre meets professional standards to deliver a high quality service to the community and users it serves.
• Consistently update and manage the Centre presence on the Councils website and social media platforms, including and not limited to Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn with up to date centre information, news stories and events.
• Book meeting/event space and maintaining the booking system to ensure it is kept up to date and raise invoices from such booking
• Work with the Business and Community Centre Co-ordinator to arrange and organise, as directed, any PR and marketing activity for the Centre.

Job Requirements:

• At least 2 years experience within a Centre Officer role or equivalent.
• First Aid Certificate
• A knowledge and understanding of building compliance and maintenance
• Ability to interpret information quickly and accurately, communicating them responsibly and effectively to management, colleagues & clients
• Operating within financial systems to appropriately record and manage cash transactions
