Tempting Recruitment are working alongside our client, a Housing Association, who are looking for a Fire Risk Officer to join their team based in Wiltshire. 

Position: Fire Risk Officer      
Rate: £42,283    
Location: Wiltshire (Hybrid)   
Work Type: Permanent  

Key Information 

Successful candidates will be expected to cover the entire geographical our client has properties in which require fire assessments. Their operating region includes Hampshire, Wiltshire, Somerset, Devon, Cornwall and London. In the main, you will find yourself working in the South/South-West. You may have 1-2 visits to London each month. 

They do endeavour to allocate core assessments closer to the Risk Officer's location. Travel to all operating areas would be expected with occasional stop overs. 

JOB DESCRIPTION
The duties and responsibilities of the role will include:  

• Make sure regular inspections are carried out on Group buildings and dwellings, undertaking fire risk assessments according to PAS 79. 
• Review 3rd party risk assessments by contractors. 
• Act as a contact with the Primary Fire Authority Partner alongside your Fire Safety Manager. 
• Provide statistics and reports to health & safety panels or groups. 
• Liaise with any contractors or enforcing authorities.  

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE
The successful candidate will have the following skills and competencies:

• Previous fire risk assessment and fire safety training (essential). 
• NEBOSH certificate or equivalent (desirable). 
• Minimum 2 years' previous experience in carrying out fire risk assessments and reporting on these. 
• Strong knowledge of fire safety within a housing environment.
