Job Role: Senior Solicitor/Legal Aid Supervisor
Temporary or Permanent: Permanent
Number of Positions: 1
Location: Birmingham
Rate of Pay: £38,000 to £44,000 (depending on experience)

Purpose:
The vacancy benefits from administrative support. The vacancy is full time and is a good opportunity to develop in a rapidly expanding, passionate and activist team. Flexible working will be possible.

We conduct an interesting and challenging mix of high profile work primarily focussing on actions against the police, prison service and other public bodies. We also specialise in inquest work, investigating deaths in state custody.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
• At least 3 years experience within a Solicitor/Legal Aid Supervisor role or equivalent.
• The successful candidate will ideally have worked on both publicly funded and CFA cases.
• Experience with civil litigation, judicial review challenges in the High Court and Inquest work
• An ability to work under pressure and meet financial targets are essential.
