Tempting Recruitment are working alongside our client, a local authority, who are looking for a Senior Property Lawyer Team Leader to join their team based in Bedfordshire. 

Position: Senior Property Lawyer (Team Leader)    
Rate: £49,500 - £53,578  
Location: Bedfordshire  
Work Type: Permanent (Hybrid) 

JOB DESCRIPTION
The duties and responsibilities of the role will include:  

• Have responsibility in the day to day management of the Property Team, assisting the service manager to provide a high quality legal service. 
• Drafting and agreeing legal documentation on varied areas of work. 
• Manage own caseload of property matters in accordance with council procedures and legislation. 
• Seek new sources to generate income where possible. 
• Report on disposals and acquisitions and advise on routine areas of specialist laws. 

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE
The successful candidate will have the following skills and competencies:

• Admitted solicitor with Practising Certificate or a member of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives. 
• Strong post qualification experience as public sector lawyer or other similar position. 
• An understanding of IT including legal software (required) with professional experience in this (desired). 
• Confident in giving expert advice.
