Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy local authority in Oxfordshire, are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Project Manager to join their organisation.

Position: Infrastructure Project Manager
Location:  Oxfordshire
Salary: £50–£60p/h umbrella 
Hours: Monday - Friday / 9am - 5pm
Contract: 6 months (possible extension)
Driving Licence Required: Yes
Number of Positions: 3 positions available

Purpose:
To support the Senior Project Manager and/or Programme Lead in delivering major transport infrastructure projects through effective programme, budget, and stakeholder management—overseeing design, procurement, and construction to ensure timely, cost-effective delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Promote and deliver improved communication with individual residents, communities, other local authorities and key stakeholders.
• To manage or coordinate staff who are working within the same specialist service area to ensure shared outcomes are delivered.
• Remain contemporary with legislation and best practice and ensure that relevant initiatives are adopted to develop the effectiveness of the service.
• To act as the expert within the identified fields e.g. drainage, trees, bridges or liaise with external expertise etc.
• To manage delivery of individual schemes / projects relating to the service area.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
• At least 2 years experience within a Infrastructure Project Manager role or equivalent, with a proven track record of experience, at a senior professional and/or managerial level.
• A current driving licence with access to a vehicle for business use and/or a willingness to use Council vehicles. Or the ability to demonstrate an effective alternate means of frequent travel to all areas of the county.
• Competent IT user including the use of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, Skype for Business, Visio, Teams). Confident with data analysis, using it to inform strategy and monitor performance.
