Position: Damp and Mould Surveyor
Location: Hammersmith
Duration: 12 Weeks
Rate: £300 per day via Umbrella

Purpose of the Role: 

Join my client's Repairs Team as a Building Surveyor to deliver high-quality repair and maintenance services across 17,000 homes. Reporting to the Operations Manager Damp and Mould, you’ll oversee damp and mould works, day-to-day repairs, refurbishments (kitchens, bathrooms, windows), void works, complex repairs, and disrepair cases, ensuring compliance with the Homes (Fitness for Human Habitation) Act 2018.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct pre, mid, and post-inspections to ensure quality and safety.
• Diagnose structural issues, arrange specialist tests, and recommend solutions.
• Manage Right to Buy surveys and resolve resident queries.
• Collaborate with contractors to deliver timely, cost-effective works.
• Drive continuous improvement, reducing disrepair risks through lessons learned.
• Handle complaints and engage residents sensitively.

• Degree in Building Surveying or equivalent experience in repairs/disrepair.
• 3–5 years’ management experience in social housing repairs.
• Strong knowledge of construction, legislation (HHSRS, CDM), and health and safety.
• Excellent communication and IT skills (e.g., OHMS, survey software).
• Proactive, adaptable, and resident-focused.
