Position: Hard Services Technical Manager
Location: West London
Salary: £29.07
Hours: 36 Hours a week.
Duration: 3 Month with possible extension.

About the Role:  The Surveyor will be responsible for carrying out responsive property inspections in customers’ homes across Somerset. This includes response repair surveys, mutual exchanges, minor works surveys, and investigating issues such as damp, condensation, and mould. 

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and monitor Hard Services contracts, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
• Act as the technical contact for Service Providers, resolving escalated issues and ensuring corrective actions are taken.
• Conduct audits to identify service delivery issues and implement corrective measures.
• Provide regular service performance reports and liaise with stakeholders to enhance service delivery.
• Develop and implement contractor performance and procurement strategies for enhanced supplier performance.
• Ensure compliance with Council governance, building regulations, and statutory requirements.
• Manage disruptive works and reactive repairs, ensuring timely delivery and stakeholder communication.

• • Relevant certification in Facilities Management, Engineering, or Occupational Health and Safety (NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent).
  • Experience in Hard Services management, including mechanical, electrical, fabric, and minor works.
  • Strong understanding of building maintenance practices, health & safety regulations, and contract management.
  • Proven track record in managing Hard FM contracts and ensuring compliance with service agreements.
  • Experience in providing technical support, troubleshooting, and resolving service complaints.
  • Project management experience related to building maintenance, repairs, and upgrades.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across multiple stakeholders using various methods.
  • Negotiation skills for liaising with contractors and suppliers.
