Position: Surveyor
Location: Wells
Salary: £26.65
Hours: 37 Hours a week.
Duration: 6 Months

About the Role:  The Surveyor will be responsible for carrying out responsive property inspections in customers’ homes across Somerset. This includes response repair surveys, mutual exchanges, minor works surveys, and investigating issues such as damp, condensation, and mould. 


Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct responsive property inspections and surveys to assess necessary repairs and maintenance work.
• Oversee minor works, refurbishment projects, and general surveying duties.
• Investigate issues such as damp, condensation, and mould within customer homes and provide appropriate solutions.
• Work closely with maintenance colleagues to schedule and manage identified repairs.
• Conduct planned maintenance delivery through external contractors.
• Carry out void property inspections to ensure compliance with Aster lettable standards.

• Relevant academic and/or professional qualification in Construction or Surveying.
• Experience in surveying and contract management within the social housing sector.
• Proven ability to manage and monitor works budgets (c. £500k).
• Strong knowledge of current building regulations, maintenance legislation, and health and safety standards.
• Commercial awareness with a sound understanding of financial and contractual considerations.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to produce detailed technical reports.
• Full UK driving license and ability to drive company vehicles.
