Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy local authority in Bristol, are looking for an experienced Temporary Traffic Regulation Order (Ttro) Technician (Engineering and Surveying) to join their team.

Position: Traffic Regulation Officer 
Location: Bristol
Salary: £24.80 per hour (PAYE, Inside IR35) 
Contract Duration: Temporary (July 2025) with Possible Extension
Location: Hybrid Mix of home and office/onsite client premises.

About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented TTRO Officer to support the delivery of Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders and Notices in accordance with relevant legislation. This role involves drafting legal documents, conducting technical administrative tasks, and contributing to the efficient operation of Bristol’s Streetworks Permit Scheme.

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders and Notices in line with the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Procedure Regulations 1992.
• Support the Team Manager by producing reports, data analysis, and maintaining technical records.
• Assist in preparing maps, diagrams, and documentation to support transport projects.
• Provide front-line customer service to internal teams, the public, elected officials, and government agencies.
• Maintain compliance with data protection policies and handle confidential information securely.
• Monitor and assess diversions related to the Clean Air Zone (CAZ) to ensure appropriate signage and compliance.
• Process refund requests by investigating historical roadworks and providing data insights.
• Identify patterns in data to predict potential network issues and non-compliance.

• Relevant qualifications (NQF/QCF Level 3) or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of Traffic & Highway Maintenance services and regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to learn new systems.
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Excellent attention to detail for checking legal and technical documents.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, coordinating project tasks effectively.
