Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy local authority in South Yorkshire, are looking for an experienced Joiner to join their team and play a crucial role in their Assets, Regeneration and Construction Services operations.  

Position: Joiner
Rate: £19.31 per hour (Umbrella, Inside IR35)
Contract Duration: Temporary (October 2025) with Possible Extension 

Purpose:

• To be able to provide a professional, quality of craftsmanship and customer orientated delivery of service to all Building Works internal and external customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• To carry out all aspects of joinery work on repairs and maintenance and refurbishment projects and new build including first fix and second fix joinery works.
• To remove and replace timber gutter and carry out any necessary repairs.
• To lift and fix finished items such as windows, doors, door frames, boarding to floors and walls, sills, skirtings and architraves on new build or adaptations and kitchens.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
• At least 1 year experience within a Joiner role or equivalent.
• NVQ Level 2 in Joinery or equivalent Qualification.
• Knowledge of health and safety procedures in relation to Construction work.
• Previous experience of carrying out Joinery work to a high standard on repairs and maintenance and refurbishment projects.
