Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy local authority in Northeast England are looking for an experienced Neighbourhood Housing Officer to join their team and play a crucial role in their housing operations.  

Position: Neighbourhood Housing Officer
Salary: £15.43 per hour (PAYE, Inside IR35) 
Contract Duration: Temporary (2-3 Months) with Possible Extension 

Key Responsibilities:

• To proactively manage a cross tenure patch of properties, including properties managed on behalf of other landlords, providing customer focussed services in line with the company’s service standards and values.
• To become the key local contact for tenants, providing appropriate support and early intervention to sustain tenancies and maximise income.
• To work with vulnerable tenants, making appropriate referrals and liaising with partners and services to develop and monitor support plans.
• Carry out a range of visits to ensure tenancies are sustained and properties are kept in good condition.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
• At least 1 year experience within a Neighbourhood Housing Officer role or equivalent.
• Knowledge of housing and social care Issues.
• 5 GCSE’s A - C or 9 - 4 including Maths and English or relevant demonstratable experience.
• Evidence of continual professional development and a willingness to undertake additional training as required.
