Position: Highway Construction Site Supervisor / Clerk of Works
Rate: £50.00 per hour
Location: Bristol City Council ( at least one day a week in the office)
Contract Duration: 8 Months (21 hour per week, 3 days per week)

Purpose:

• We are seeking experienced Highway Construction Site Supervisors / Clerk of Works to oversee multiple small highways contracts within the Bristol City Council boundary.
• The successful candidates will be responsible for the daily supervision and contract management of these projects, ensuring adherence to NEC4 Engineering Construction Contract Option B requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Proven experience in highway construction site supervision and contract management.
• Experience working under NEC4 Engineering Construction Contract Option B and/or as an NEC4 Project Manager.
• Valid CSCS Card.
• SSSTS or SMSTS Qualification.
• Ability to interpret and apply technical standards in highway and transport engineering projects.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and Construction Design and Management (CDM) regulations.
• Strong project management skills, including budgeting, financial management, and contract administration.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 or equivalent business applications.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex information to stakeholders, including community groups and clients.
• Own vehicle required for travel within the Bristol City Council boundary.
