Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy local authority in in London, are looking for an experienced Electricians to join their team and play a crucial role in their Housing Repairs Function.

Position: Electrician
Rate: £235.25 per day  (Umbrella, Inside IR35)
Contract Duration: Temporary (20 Months with a potential to go permanent.

Purpose:

• The DLO Electrician will be part of a multi-disciplined works team within the housing repairs function, responsible for delivering effective repairs while ensuring cost and quality efficiency.
• The role involves carrying out all types of electrical work both internally and externally, including installations, maintenance, fault finding, commissioning, and remedial work, while ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct all aspects of electrical work, including repairs, maintenance, new installations, and fault diagnosis.
• Work efficiently within a scheduled appointment system and liaise with customers as necessary.
• Utilize necessary electrical tools, plant, and equipment to complete duties.
• Ensure effective stock and material management to minimize waste.
• Supervise and mentor apprentices, trainees, or other assigned employees.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in responsive repairs in a similar organization.
• Strong knowledge of electrical installations and maintenance in residential settings.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds Electrical Installation.
• Approved Electrician qualified to 18th Edition BS7671.
