Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy local authority in Southeast London, are looking for an experienced Fire Risk Officer to join their team and play a crucial role in their risk management operations.  

Position: Fire Risk Officer
Rate: Negotiable (Umbrella, Inside IR35)
Contract Duration: Temporary (3 Months) with Possible Extension 

Purpose:

• To be responsible to the Team Manager and for the day to day management of the Health & Safety of budling projects, maintenance contracts and fire risk assessments across the Borough.

Key Responsibilities:

• To be responsible or established standards of work, cost, allocated building maintenance, building construction or related works within the team.
• Surveying or building experience preferably with some knowledge of the principles of Fire Safety in Purpose built blocks of flats.
• The allocation of work to property services officers/supervisors or external contractors/sub-contractors.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
• At least 2 years experience within a Fire Risk Officer role or equivalent.
• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development. 
• Qualified Fire Risk Assessor
• Member of the IFE - Institution of Fire Engineers
• Experience of working within complex Social Housing.
