Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy local authority in the East of England, are looking for an experienced Management Accountant Team Leader to join their team and play a crucial role in their management accounts operations.  

Position: Management Accountant Team Leader
Rate: £600 - £700 per day (Umbrella, Inside IR35)
Contract Duration: Temporary (June 2025) with Possible Extension 

Purpose:

• CCAB/CIMA qualified accountant required to support the closure of accounts due to a vacant post in the structure.

Key Responsibilities:

• The post is the lead on fixed asset accounting , managing the asset register and plays a significant part in the production of the annual Statement of Accounts.
• In addition the post line manages staff related to the capital accounting, bank rec and VAT.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
• At least 1 year experience within a Management Accountant Team Leader role or equivalent.
• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development. 
• Postholder must have good technical accounting skills and experience within a Local Authority setting.
