Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy local authority in Southwest England, are looking for an experienced Senior Transport Development Planner to join their team and play a crucial role in their City Transport operations.  

Position: Senior Transport Development Planner
Rate: £22.09 per hour (Umbrella, Inside IR35)
Contract Duration: Temporary (August 2025) with Possible Extension 
Working Pattern: 3 Days / 21 hours a week - 1 day a week in the office

Purpose:

• To work at a senior technical/professional level in the Transport Development Management team to provide high level professional expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical advice and experience to assist in the teams' Development Control work programme.
• To work with officers in planning, highways, structures, regeneration, housing and others (as appropriate) in order to progress the effective management of Planning Application and their impact on the public highway.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
• At least 1 year experience within a Senior Transport Development Planner role or equivalent.
• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development. 
• Postholders must be willing and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions throughout the city’s highway network.
