Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy local authority in West Sussex, are looking for an experienced Registered Building Inspector to join their team and play a crucial role in their building control operations.  

Position: Registered Building Inspector
Rate: £50 per hour (Umbrella, Inside IR35) 
Contract Duration: Temporary (6 Months) with Possible Extension 

Key Responsibilities:

• We have a great opportunity for a Registered Building Inspector with experience an ability to carry out a full range of Building Control functions within the Registered Building Inspector CLASS 2 A Registration including the on-site supervision of building works and dealing with dangerous structure reports.
• You will handle plan assessments, site inspections, dangerous building reports, and related tasks.
• The ideal candidate will have experience in building inspection for domestic and low-rise industrial/commercial developments under 7.5m.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
• At least 1 year experience within a Registered Building Inspector role or equivalent.
• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development. 
• A BSR Class 2A registration and valid driving license is essential.
• Possess the IT skills necessary to deal with the electronic processing of plans, capture of site reports and documents to bespoke systems and email communication with our stakeholders.
• They should demonstrate a thorough understanding of regulations and possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
