Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy local authority in Northwest London, are looking for an experienced Programmed Work Caretaker to join their team and play a crucial role in their Housing Management operations. 

Position: Programmed Work Caretaker
Rate: £18 per hour (Umbrella) 
Contract Duration: Temporary (April 2025) with Possible Extension

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for ensuring that cleaning of housing properties meets or exceeds the agreed standards and frequencies to internal and external areas of the council estates.
• Remove bulky items and fly tips from internal and external areas of housing sites across the borough.
• Carry out deep internal and external cleaning (including bin/bin chambers and graffiti) across the housing sites in line with the deep cleaning programme.
• Carry out window cleaning for the communal areas up to third floor across the housing sites in line with the programmed schedules.
• To drive light goods vehicle with either automatic or manual gears (candidates must possess a full and valid UK Driving Licence) and manage day-to-day operation of vehicles/machineries to ensure an effective delivery of the service for fly-tips or deep cleaning service.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
• At least 1 year experience within a Programmed Work Caretaker or equivalent.
• A reasonable level of literacy and numeracy. 
• An understanding of Health & safety requirements relating to COSHH and Risk Assessment. 
• Experience of working with the public in a service delivery environment.
• Experience of carrying out basic cleaning tasks.
